Successful Japan Tour

This September’s tour of Japan was fantastic.  There were lots of new experiences along the way.  First in Yokohama Miho, Emi and I used hot stones in combination with lomilomi at our Spiritual Market booth.  The guests were impressed because in such a short time we were able to go so very deep.  With deep relaxation, change occurred faster.

In Tokushima our organizer Yasumi Yamakita had us in a beachfront location surrounded by wildflowers, mountains, forests and open ocean.  I had not seen so many butterflies in a long time.  It was fantastic. Apprentice flying teachers Mizuho and Miki had a large class to train, and suddenly they realized words are not enough to move energy.  What we re-discovered is Romilomi is so much more than we can teach in two days.  It’s a nice start, but we really need a longer time to build the energy and move it.

Synchronicity was the word for Osaka.  Everything Nanako had wished was already in the plan for the class.  Somehow we communicated without phones or talking in person.  Fushigi da ne.  The lomilomi team members from Osaka have taken their flying sessions very seriously and continue to support each other through some very deep changes taking place.

Fukuoka seems far, far away (I even slept 15 minutes past my train stop late at night.), but do you know what Nocchi-san did?  She had given individual flying lessons to each person in the class before we ever met.  Those students moved so quickly.  Even Nocchi-san was jealous because her own classes that she had participated in had not moved along so quickly.  Way to go Nocchi-san for coaching these students through the first steps of flying.  Yahoooo!  I can’t wait to see the progress they make in the coming months.

Eiko-san outdid herself in Nagoya.  She continues to find new students who jump right in and move mountains with their flying.  This time Katsushi-san showed me around Nagoya Castle.  I had no idea my old Kumamoto friend Kato Kiyomasa had helped build this magnificent castle.  Once again the time in Nagoya was too short, but…good times were had by all.

In Tokyo we tried something new.  We used a yoga school location near Meguro station for our class location.  The ten students easily fit in this conveniently located classroom.  There were no butterflies and no oceans or mountains, but four days was perfect to feel the energy and begin to understand ourselves.  This is truly the basic step of Romilomi.  Thank you Emi and Miho for assisting with this class.

For 29 years I have been visiting Japan, but I had never made it to Okinawa.  This time due to the perseverance of Hazuki-san, we held a successful three day workshop in Okinawa-shi.  I never knew the food and people and language could be so different.  Oh, and the beaches!  The snorkeling!  The BIG Aquarium.  We have got to go back to Okinawa.  For next time Kaoru is looking into using her friend’s yado on another Okinawan island for the Lomilomi retreat.  It sits on the oceanfront with fantastic snorkeling and sunsets.  Hopefully more of the lomilomi family can join us there.  I think the lomilomi practitioners of Osaka can testify to how the energy grows when more and more and moves mountains when people are in synch with their flying.

Teaching in Japan is fun and exciting, but to be honest the teaching time the students allow is too, too short to do Romilomi justice.  My schedule for 2010 is not clear yet, but I believe I will be visiting Japan in February and September only.  I would like to shift the emphasis to the longer Romilomi camps on Kauai.  Stay tuned for more announcements about next year’s schedule coming soon.

日本ツアー大成功

今年の9月の日本ツアーは大変素晴らしいものでした。たくさんの新しい体験をしました。まず、横浜ではミホとエミと私でスピリチュアルマーケットのイベントでロミロミにホットストーンを加えたセッションをしました。訪れた人たちは短時間でとても深くまで到達することができることに驚いていたようです。深いリラクゼーションのなかで変化はより早く起きてくるようです。

徳島では、オーガナイザーのヤスミは野生の花々や山、森、そして海の見える環境に囲まれた浜辺沿いの場所を用意してくれました。あんなに多くの蝶を見たのは久しぶりでした。とても素晴らしかったです。新人のフライングのティーチャーであるミズホとミキはたくさんの生徒をトレーニングすることになったのですが、彼女たちはエネルギーを動かすことに言葉は十分ではない、ということに突然気づきました。ロミロミを二日間で教える以上のものがあるということを私たちは再発見したのです。二日間というのは、とても良いスタートですが、エネルギーを構築し、動かしていくというのには長い時間が必要です。

大阪ではシンクロニシティーという言葉が当てはまりました。ナナコが望んでいたことが全てクラスのなかに予定されていました。電話や実際にあって話すということなく、私たちはコミュニケーションがとれていたのです。フシギ・ダ・ネ。大阪のロミロミのチームメンバーはとても真剣にフライングのセッションを受けていて、とても深い変容が起きてくることを通してお互いにサポートしつづけていました。

福岡はとっても遠くに感じました(夜遅くに下車する駅から15分も私は寝てしまいました)。しかし、ノッチさんが何をしてくれていたと思いますか？私たちが会う前から、彼女はクラスの生徒一人ひとりにフライングのレッスンを個人的に教えていたのです。ですから、その生徒たちはとても早く上達することができました。ノッチさんですら、彼女が以前に参加クラスがそれほど早くは上達しなかったので悔しく思いました。ノッチさん、フライングの第一歩を教えることを通して生徒たちをコーチすることをがんばってください。イェーイ！これからの数ヶ月で、さらなる成長を見るのが楽しみです。

エイコさんは名古屋で非常にがんばっていました。彼女はクラスに飛び入りして、山をも動かすようなフライングをしてくれる新しい生徒を探しつづけていました。カツシさんは私に名古屋城を案内してくれました。私の熊本の古い友達である加藤清正(笑)が、どのようにしてこの壮大なお城を建設することを手伝ったのか検討もつきません。今回の名古屋のステイは本当に短かかったのですが、皆さんのおかげで良い時間を過ごすことができました。

東京では新しいことを試してみました。目黒駅のそばのヨガスクールをクラスルームとして使いました。この交通の便の良いクラスルームに、10人の生徒たちが楽に収まりました。蝶や海、山などはなかったですが、4日間という期間はエネルギーを感じ、私たち自身を理解しはじめるということには完璧でした。これこそがロミロミの基本的なステップです。このクラスをアシストしてもらったエミとミホに感謝します。

29年間、私は日本を訪れていますか、いまだかつて沖縄には足を延ばしたことはありませんでした。今回はハズキさんのねばり強さのおかげで、沖縄市で3日間のワークショップを開くことに成功しました。私は沖縄の食べ物や人々、言語などがこんなにも異なっているということを知りませんでした。あと、ビーチもです！スノーケリングもです！そして、あの大きな水族館！沖縄にはまた戻らないとだめですね。カオルは、次回のロミロミリトリートのために、他の沖縄の島にある友達の宿を尋ねてみてくれているようです。素晴らしいスノーケリングやサンセットを見ることができる海沿いの宿です。ロミロミファミリーがもっと参加することができればいいですね。人々がフライングとシンクロすると、エネルギーがより大きくなり山をも動かすことができるようになることを、大阪のロミロミプラクティショナーの人たちは証明することができると思います。

日本で教えることは、楽しく、エキサイティングなものですが、生徒の人たちが参加できる時間というのは、きちんとしたロミロミを教えるにはとても、とても、短いものです。2010年のスケジュールは未定ですが、2月と9月だけに日本に訪れることになると思います。カウアイ島でのロミロミキャンプの方により重点をおく方向にシフトしていこうと思います。来年のスケジュールの発表についてはしばらくお待ちください。
